OUR TEAM

Beginning with our founder—Brad Mack, and later in partnership with Clint Larby, — we have guided our company to do what's best and right for all employees and business partners who depend on us. Meet the individuals who help make BMT great.

BRAD MACK, OWNER AND VICE PRESIDENT

Brad Mack is the Co-Owner and Vice President of BMT and oversees day-to-day shop operations and manages all company equipment.

Brad started his career in the industry as a young boy, helping his grandfather with farming responsibilities. During his high school years through age 21, Brad worked as a diesel mechanic. Beginning in 1996 he started his career as an independent owner-operator, ranging from pulling dry vans, reefers, hoppers, and flatbeds. One highlight to his career as an owner-operator was pulling for Team Yamaha transporting their winter race equipment throughout US and Canada from 1999-2003.

Brad has extensive experience of tractor-trailer makes and models. His life experiences throughout the trucking industry are priceless in managing the current fleet. His excellent memory and vast knowledge often help to accommodate the needs of our drivers on the road who may be in need of assistance.

Brad resides in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota with his wife Kelli and children.

CLINT LARBY, OWNER AND PRESIDENT

Clint Larby is the Co-Owner and President of BMT. Clint is responsible for BMT’s sales and operations, including finance, dispatch, safety, and HR functions. Under Clint's leadership, BMT has seen tremendous growth, going from a smaller fleet of 15 trucks in 2019 to now running 40 trucks and owning over 100 dry vans.

Clint’s extensive background in the transportation industry spans over most of his life. His father was a driver in the 80’s and Clint loved to be in the cab with him as much as possible. Prior to trucking, Clint was in banking for ten years but decided the itch for trucking was too strong. Since that time of starting out in trucking, Clint has driven over-the-road as well as in the oil fields of Western ND. Prior to joining BMT, he has worked in recruiting, safety, HR, and dispatch.

Above all, Clint credits BMT’s success in enforcing a core value system that emphasizes treating staff and customers as “partners.” Clint takes great pride in ensuring the individual success of each person that partners with BMT.

Clint resides in Erhard, MN with his wife Emily and children.

MIKE BEHRENS, DISPATCH

Employed since 11/2013

Mike Behrens handles Dispatch for BMT. Trucking is in Mike’s blood, having worked as a truck owner-operator for 18 years. He also worked as a broker for Landstar for 3 years before joining the BMT team.

Mike's primary responsibility is to keep the trucks moving up and down the road and uses his experience as a former owner-operator to relate to and work best with BMT drivers.

SHEILA HEINONEN, RECEPTIONIST

Employed since 09/2013

Sheila is the receptionist for BMT, greeting our clients and drivers in person and on the phone, interacting with our brokers and working on various administrative tasks.

She also organizes BMT’s daily driver check-in call to confirm their location and any challenges and issues that may arise. Sheila is motivated, loyal and dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service.

Sheila lives in Detroit Lakes, MN, with her husband, John.
